Below is the process that the Southern Nytes Award Program follows. This process is from the time your application is received to the final evaluation and awarding or not awarding of sites that apply for the Southern Nytes Award.
This process should take no longer than 4 weeks. You can check the status of your site on the Status page at anytime during the month.

All applicants are notified of the results of their application. The process goes from one step to another. If applicant site is determined not to qualify to proceed to the next step, then at that time applicant will receive a notice that site did not qualify for an award and the reason why.

Sites that do not qualify for an award may reapply in 60 days if the area of disqualification or criteria has been changed and met for this award. This includes applicants that fail to type in the URL of their site correctly. You must reapply in 60 days.
NOTE: I do not encourage anyone to change their site to win this award. As all other award programs, this award has its own criteria. Not winning this award does not mean that you do not have a quality site.

Application

Once we have received your application, you will receive a confirmation notice within 5 days that your application has been received.
If you do not receive this confirmation, either we did not receive your application or your email was returned as undeliverable. If the email is returned, application is discarded.

Application is checked for accuracy and completeness. This includes testing the URL you provided for your site. Any sites not passing this process will be disqualified and notified. All others will proceed to the next step.

Reviews

The first review of your site will check that sites meets Qualifications for the Southern Nytes Award. Those that do not will be notified with the reason for disqualification. Those that do will go to the next step.

The Second review of the site will consist of checking the site to the criteria of this award and scoring of the site. Sites that score the required number of points will go to the next step, those that do not will be notified, with feedback as to reason your site did not receive an award.

Awards

Sites that make it to this point have won an award. The award will be sent as attachment to an email. If you can not retrieve the attachment please inform us and we will make other arrangements for you to receive your award.
Your site will be listed on the Award Winners Page ( You can apply for the award again after a year.)
By applying for this award, you are agreeing that if your site wins this award that the owners of The Southern Nytes Award© will list the name of your site, URL of your site, Your Country, a screen shot of your site and a brief description of your site on our Winners Page.
