Thank you for visiting The Lynx Award Program
The Lynx Award Program is a Quality Stand Alone Award Program established in 1997. We
are proud of our longevity as an Awards Program on the web. This Award is not automatic,
all sites submitted by application are viewed.
We hope that you will take the time to view our site and will apply for our award, if you meet the criteria of The Lynx Award. Please remember, there are many award programs on the web, all have set the criteria for winning their award. The criteria is mainly based on their likes and dis-likes.
If you do not win our award, it does not mean that you don't have a quality site. We do not encourage anyone to change their site to win this or any other award. Be yourself, express yourself as you please. Awards are a fun thing, it is way to get people to visit your site to "show off" your talents. Strive to do your best, to impress people, to get and keep their interest. You are the only one that has to be satisfied with your work.
If you are a serious webmaster/web-mistress you will never be pleased. The desire to improve and learn new things, to experiment, to showcase your skills, will always be there.
Navigation of this site is easy and will always be on the left side of the page.

I established this award program and hopefully have ran it successfully over the years. I also have three other sites, which I have award programs on. All of these award programs have also been on the web for a few years.
I in no way proclaim myself to be a professional, a master or perfect. I started this award program for fun, when the fun goes out of it , I will close it. This program has enabled me to visit sites that I most likely would not have surfed upon and to meet a lot of great people, some of which have become dear friends. I do this because I enjoy doing so. I don't do it full time, although it does take a lot of my spare time. I do have a full time job as a health professional.
I have been tinkering with computers for about 10 years. What I have learned has been self taught. Joe Barta web tutorials have been a great asset in learning the basics of html.
The Lynx Award was one of the first Stand Alone Award programs to surface on the net. Although I have said that awards should be a fun thing, they should also be serious for the Award giver and the Award seeker. I do not believe in give away awards. But awards should never be so serious that the fun of seeking and giving is diminished. I have set the criteria as any other award owner has. And yes, a great deal of my criteria is based on my likes and dislikes. These change over time and the criteria changes.
